LOCATION:
located in Maasai Mara region, SW Kenya, on the Koyaki-Lemek
Group Ranch, at an altitude of 1,900 m., tucked in a forested
valley and overlooking the Mara plains;
DESCRIPTION:
Saruni ("The Place of Peace and Tranquillity" in Maasai
language) is the new, deluxe and intimate tented lodge set in a
private conservation area bordering with the Maasai Mara Game
Reserve. It is set in a remote valley at the heart of the most
exciting wilderness of Kenya and offers a new concept of African
safari: the thrill of a real adventure lived in harmony with the
Maasai warriors coupled with high standards of style and
comfort. The camp has a special library with panoramic view of
the Mara plains where a remarkable collection of books is at
your disposal. The cuisine is of the highest standard and uses
many fresh ingredients from the camp's own vegetable garden.
Saruni's verandahs are the most spectacular of the Mara.

Room décor:
Cottages are unique and from the large verandahs one enjoys a
unique view of the Mara plains and can watch the many wild
animals that come to our waterhole.
Thatched roofs, large en-suite bathrooms with hot (solar boiler)
and cold running water, shower and bidet.
Room amenities:
Each cottage has 220v electricity generated by solar power.
Water is recycled for a water hole where wildlife drinks during
the day and night in front of the main verandah.

There is a collection of books and a library, the most beautiful
in the African Bush. The library is in a private location to

CLIMATE:
Temperatures are very comfortable year-round. During the day the
temperature is dry and sunny. During the night is cool. Daytime
highs are 90F / 33°C and night time lows are 60F / 15°C.
