Location
E Unoto Retreat offers luxury safari accommodation in a Maasai
inspired environment. Located in Tanzania’s Lake Manyara region,
E Unoto Retreat is easily accessible by road from nearby airports
and just 1½ hours drive from the township of Arusha.
E Unoto Retreat resembles an authentic Tanzanian Maasai village
and has been designed to blend with the natural surroundings.
The lodge was also constructed incorporating traditional Maasai
methods and with environmental awareness. The handcrafted and
imported furnishings and fittings compliment the lodge’s theme
and provide our guests with an exotic Tanzanian flavor.

Facilities
All our 25 luxurious bungalows have been designed, constructed
and furnished to provide a unique yet comfortable experience
for all our guests. Spacious rooms provide a relaxing retreat
whilst the verandah of every individual suite offers guests
spectacular views of Lake Miwaleni and the towering Great Rift
Escarpment.
Scenic views of the landscape also extend from our restaurant,
bar and swimming pool, providing a stunning backdrop from daybreak
to moonlit nights.

E Unoto Outdoor Activities
NOTE: When going on any daytime activities, it is advisable
to bring cameras, binoculars, insect repellant, sunscreen, hat,
sunglasses, water and any other personal and medical items you
may need.
BIRD WATCHING
With more than 400 species of native birds in the area, E Unoto
Retreat is the perfect haven for bird watching. Birdlife that
has been spotted includes the Ring-necked Pigeon, Laughing Dove,
Oxpeckers and Superb Starling. The lodge has telescopes and
binoculars for viewing the birds and animals in close proximity
and in the distance. Birds can also be sighted on our nature
walks and are also plentiful around the lodge.
CYCLING
Complimentary bicycles are available for adults and children
staying at E Unoto Retreat. Cycling is a great way to experience
the culture and natural wilds in this beautiful environment.
You can cycle to the Maasai Boma (30 minutes to 2 hours depending
on personal interest – moderate exertion), Maasai Market or
small township of Mto wa Mbu (both 2 to 4 hours – strenuous
exertion).
GAME DRIVES
Numerous national parks are at close proximity to E Unoto Retreat,
including Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. Game
drives can be arranged that take you to view Tanzania’s diverse
collection of native animals and birdlife in their natural habitat.
An experienced guide will accompany you during the day and return
